According to WirtualneMedia.pl, the Polish broadcaster TVP will air both semi finals of Eurovision Song Contest 2015 live at TVP1 and TV Polonia (for the Polish audience from abroad). Last year TVP decided to air all three Eurovision shows for the first time and reached very good TV-ratings, mostly because of the well-recognized entry by Donatan & Cleo. The duo qualified for the final and finished 14th with their massive hit “My Slowianie – We Are Slavic”. It was the first appearance in the Final for Poland since Eurovision 2008 in Belgrade.
Sources close to TVP informed as well that this broadcaster has already picked a singer and a song for Vienna, and that the negotiations are ongoing, but the final decision will be announced at the beginning of March. It is still unknown whether TVP will send an already popular song, or a totally new song written especially for the contest by local or foreign composer(s).
It is most likely that Artur Orzech will keep his position as TVP’s commentator during Eurovision Song Contest 2015, even though he openly criticized the contest in an interview for Onet.pl (as we reported earlier here). Most of the fans are disappointed with his statements and would like to see someone new taking on his role. Artur Orzech has commentated on the Eurovision Song Contest for the Polish viewers since 1994 (with a short break in 1996).
