Elhaida Dani won the Albanian national selection Festivali i Kenges back in December last year, with a power ballad “Diell”, which was then supposed to be the song she will also be singing in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. However, due to latest turnouts, she is being forced to change her Eurovision entry, less than a month before the submission period!
The composer of “Diell” has decided to withdraw the song from this Contest, due to personal reasons, leaving Elhaida currently without a song. In respect of this very sudden personal decision, and in agreement with RTSH, it was decided that Elhaida will still represent Albania in Vienna, as the winner of Festivali i Kenges, with a new song.
Elhaida says that the shared objective is to achieve a good result for Albania in Eurovision in Vienna, and that she will work very hard to achieve that.
