Conchita to be voice of Vienna’s transport system

The voice of Conchita Wurst, last year’s winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, will be used for public transport station announcements during the Eurovision season in Vienna. The announcements will serve to greet the passengers at stops close to, and in trains approaching the event locations.

Answer Lang, Head of  Communications Division for Wiener Linien – the biggest public transit network in the city of Vienna – said:

During the Song Contest, but also a few days before the Eurovision season starts, Conchita’s voice will be used in announcements in Vienna’s transport system.

What will Conchita say in the announcements hasn’t been revealed yet. However, what is known is that the announcements will be recorded in German, English and French.
