After having the interval act in last year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Australia got a special invitation to participate in this year’s Contest in Vienna (for this one time only, to celebrate the 60th event of the Eurovision Song Contest). SBS One, the Australian broadcaster, has internally decided that the first, and (most probably) only representative of Australia is going to be Guy Sebastian!
Australia is a direct finalist of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, and has the privilege to vote in both semi finals. All shows will be broadcast live, so people in Australia will have a chance to televote for their favourites in all shows.
The song Guy Sebastian will perform in Vienna is from his latest album, but the final decision on the song will be made in the coming days. He said though, that the song he will be singing in Vienna is going to be a ballad.
