Romania sends Voltaj to Vienna!

This evening saw the 2015 edition of the Romanian national final – Selecția Națională. Twelve acts competed for a ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, to be held in Vienna this coming May.

In a combination of televoting and an expert jury, Voltaj was called the winner! The group received the highest number of jury votes (43) and the most televotes (4707,) thus ending up with the score of 24, the maximum number of points! Voltaj will represent Romania in Vienna with the song titled De la capăt.

Voltaj is the 17th entrant selected via Selecția Națională since Romania’s debut in 1994. Since the introduction of the semi-finals format in 2004, to this point, Romania has qualified to the final on every occasion.

Romania will compete in the first semi-final, to be held on 19 May 2015, and is scheduled to perform in the second half of the show.
