Here Is the Eurovision Village Programme!

Every year, every host country seems to do their best when it comes to creating (yes, literally) a place that shall help the show better in every aspect. Those villages proved to be very effective and fun places for all the fans all around the world where they can gather, meet and feel the Eurovision spirit with the activities provided by the host country. Every year holds many different and amusing activities and this year will be no exception. The Eurovision Village of Vienna will be in the heart of the city at the Town Hall Square!

The biggest attraction of the village will be the giant stage in front of the famous Vienna City Hall. Daily events, even live performances by this year’s contestants as well as theme days such as “Conchita Wurst – Queen of Austria”, “A Tribute To Udo Jürgens” and “The 60 Years of the Contest” will take place.

Our glorious Opening Ceremony will also start out right here on the 17th of May from 18.00 onwards, marking the very first day of the Eurovision Week. From 20.00 the accredited press and fans will be able to join a big welcome party at the Euroclub at the Ottakringer Brewery.

Show programme is as follows;

Monday, 18th of May

  • Opening fashion show
  • “60 Years of the Song Contest”

Tuesday, 19th of May

  • Eurovision Song Contest Summer Quiz
  • Public viewing of the first Semi-Final

Wednesday, 20th of May

  • Tribute to Udo Jürgens
  • Performances by the pre-qualified finalists

Thursday, 21st of May

  • Performance by the Austrian contestant

Friday, 22nd of May

  • “Conchita – Queen of Austria”
  • Conchita Wurst lookalike contest

Saturday, 23rd of May

  • Live show – including the announcement of the Austrian votes from the village

The fun, however, is not only limited to the Eurovision Village, the whole country is ready to welcome you with all kinds of activities!

Also, all 40 participating countries have the chance to introduce themselves under the motto “Hello Vienna. Welcome Europe” by showing off their different sides in exhibition style.

On Monday, the 18th of May, a fashion show with newbie and renowned fashion designers from many of the participating countries will be held.

Unlimited fun, awesome parties, old friendships fortifying, new friendships awaiting to be made, oh and Eurovision! We cannot wait for the week already!
