New Official Lighting Partner For Eurovision 2015!

Knowing how “illuminating” this year’s Eurovision stage is, one would wonder how all the lights\flashlights shall be operated because they are so many. We have the answer. OSRAM becomes the new official lighting partner for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 to take place in Vienna!

“We are very glad to announce our partnership with OSRAM today as with their contribution to the show lighting the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is set to be once again a unique, state-of-the-art production,” says Jon Ola Sand, Executive Supervisor on behalf of the EBU.

“[…] We want to turn the show into a really unforgettable event for the audience.” adds up Hans-Joachim Schwabe, CEO of the Osram Specialty Lighting Business Unit.

OSRAM will not only providing the arena lights, but also the majority of the lighting, Eurovision village, and other activities as well. One of their interesting projects is Lightify. Lightify LED lighting system will allow one control them via a smartphone app. Exciting, isn’t it?

Visitors to the Eurovillage will be able to cast a vote for their favourite song bu using Lightify. Maximum points will be reflected in red, minimum points will be reflected in blue. That will be one light festival!
