HRT not to broadcast Eurovision 2015

The Croatian national broadcaster HRT informed eurosong.hr that they are not going to broadcast none of the two semi finals, nor the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

In the past couple of weeks, it was rumoured that Croatia would broadcast the show, even though they are not participating, but an official statement came today from the Communications Department of HRT, stating:

HRT will not be broadcasting Eurovision this year, due to not sending an entrant to this Contest. HRT also never informed officially that this year’s show is going to be broadcast.

The Croatian fans wishing to watch the show will have to either watch it on another broadcaster’s channel, or on the live stream through the official website.

The last time Croatia took part in the Eurovision Song Contest was in 2013, when the group Klapa s mora failed to qualify for the Grand Final with their song “Mizerja”, finishing 13th in their semi final.

interesting fact. they’ve wrote that they weren’t even planning to broadcast, but the Entertainment Program of HRT wrote it on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ZabavniHTV/posts/1585690728368764?fref=nf&__mref=message a really bad, bad 1st April joke.
