Melanie Rene from Switzerland took some time out of her busy schedule to chat to us about her participation in Vienna, her biggest musical influences and what she has planned for the future!
Languages. Flags. Numbers. Three of my favourite things. So it’s really no surprise that I am a fan of the Eurovision Song Contest! I’ve been obsessed since 1989 when I turned on the TV to see this strange show with people from different countries singing in different languages wearing sparkly outfits and then voting on each other’s songs! I was instantly hooked! I’ve now been to ten Eurovision and looking forward to number eleven in Israel. My favourite Eurovision song of all time is ‘Quand je te rêve’ by Céline Carzo (Luxembourg 1990). I’m pretty sure no one else can say the same thing!
