Destiny Chukunyere to represent Malta at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015

In a televised show, this evening saw Malta choose who will represent the Mediterranean island-state at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015, as the national broadcaster PBS held a national final for selecting the artist.

Twenty youngsters were chosen to present their talents live on stage in the Mediterranean Conference Centre in the capital city Valletta, where they sang a cover song of a well-known hit. In the end, Destiny Chukunyere was voted as the winner of the national selection. She will represent her nation at the Junior contest which will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria on 21st November 2015.

In tonight’s national final, Destiny sang “Think,” as a cover version of Aretha Franklin’s hit from 1968. The song Destiny will perform in Sofia will, however, be decided internally by the Maltese national broadcaster PBS.
