Eldar Gasimov, who won the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with “Running Scared” in a duet with Nikki Jamal, has just released the English version of his latest single “Canim”, and it’s English version is titled “Closer”.

The song was composed by a famous Azerbaijani producer and composer Isa Malikov, while Eldar Gasimov himself wrote the lyrics. The video was shot in Kiev, and it was directed by Alex Lamakh.

Eldar’s producer, Mr. Omar Abdulkarimov says:

The video conveys a deep meaning, for we all have had a moment in life when it seemed to us that our relationship was over and we tried to find a replacement but in the end we would return to the person we loved sincerely and who our hearts belonged to.
