Michael Varosyan to represent Armenia in Junior Eurovision 2015!

Earlier today,  Armenian broadcaster ARMTV has chosen Michael Varosyan to represent Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015. It shows it pays off to hold on, as Michael has been competing in the Armenian national finals for Junior Eurovision since 2012, finally getting selected internally this time.

Michael is currently 12 years old but is quite the veteran when it comes to competitions. Besides his various attempts in the Armenian selection, he, having studied music and singing since the age of 6, has participated in various other music festivals and competitions. Back in 2012 he participated in the Armenian selection for the annual New Wave competition and a year later he took part in the Golden Sparkles European Music Festival in the Bulgarian city of Varna, where he took home no less than 3 prizes: a second place in the performance category, third place in the singing category and a special award for being ”the most attractive participant”.

It didn’t end there as he was chosen ”discovery of the year” in 2013, receiving an award for that, and received the award for ”best song of the year” in 2014 for his song ”The Childhood Advice”. In 2014 he also participated in Slavianksi Bazaar, a contest for Slavic music held every year, and came home with a 3rd place.
Michael also enjoyed elevision success, getting to host a show called Puzzle in this already quite successful year for him.

And so he will return to Bulgaria once again to represent Armenia later this year, this time in Sofia. The song he will be singing on the 21st of November will be revealed at a later stage. It will be selected internally and there will be an announcement somewhere in the upcoming months.
