The board of members of the entertainment department of RTV Slovenia issued a public call for participation in the Slovenian national selection – Mini EMA 2015 – for the 13th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria on 21st November 2015.
This year is the second year that RTV Slovenia is sending a representative to the Junior Eurovision. The selection process will consist of three shows. In the two pre-selection shows, it will be the jury’s sole decision to pick one of three participants. In the final, the public will then get the chance to choose the winner by means of televoting.
Children willing to apply must be between 10 and 15 years of age, and must also co-produce the music and/or co-write the lyrics of the song they will sing.
The application deadline for the Mini EMA 2015 is midnight on 31st August 2015. All those interested in participating in the national selection shall apply online. Along the application, the proposed song shall be uploaded as well. Junior Eurovision Song Contest is a great international singing competition run under the supervision of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union), which has been continuously going on since 2003.
Last year RTV Slovenia participated in the competition for the first time. Ula Lozar was the country’s entrant, achieving 12th place with her song Nisi sam/Your light.
