Who wants to represent Spain in Eurovision 2016?

It is always a big question who will Spain send to the Eurovision Song Contest, and what method will their national broadcaster RTVE use for selecting their next year’s entrant. Various artists have already declared that they are more than willing to represent Spain in Eurovision. The Spanish portal eurovision-spain.com published a list of “very Spanish” artists, who want to try and win it for Spain in Stockholm next year. Here they are:

First of all, this guy has already tried it twice – back in 2009 with “Si yo vengo a enamorarte”, and then again in 2014 with “Aunque se acabe el mundo”. His name is Jorge Gonzalez, and he says that Eurovision has been a part of his life since forever, that all the artists should see Eurovision as a privilege to be on that huge stage, and that is a dream of his to carry the Spanish flag in the Contest.

The runner-up of the Norwegian national selection from 2013, Adelen also declared her interest in representing Spain in Eurovision. Even though she is Norwegian, she would love to represent Spain in Eurovision, and she says that she would work very hard to make all the Spanish people very proud.

Angel Capel finished fourth in the seventh season of “Operacion Triunfo” (Star Academy), the show that gave us Rosa, Beth, and Ramon in 2002, 2003, and 2004 respectively. Nevertheless, he is the only one from his season to make a career after this talent show, and he said in an interview that taking part in Eurovision would fulfil his dreams, that he is ready to propose a good song, but that the audience should decide who should go to Eurovision, because they are the ones who need to enjoy their home entry either watching at home, or live from the Arena.

Yanela Brooks took part in The Voice, where David Bisbal (one of the finalists of the first “Operacion Trunfo”, who then made a huge career) was her mentor. She would love to represent Spain in Stockholm, if she could keep her own style – latino, merengue, salsa, and other tropical rhythms, and the song would be in English.

Other artists who also would love to represent Spain in Eurovision include Falete – a very unique flamenco artist, K-Narias – twins who want to bring a fresh, happy song full of rhythms to Eurovision, Tatishe – who say that their music would bring a proper Spanish tune to Eurovision, and they are ready to give the best they have if selected to represent their country.
