Last week BNT have announced the names of the 12 finalists who will take part to the Bulgarian national final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Between August 17th and September 1st, the BNT (Bulgarian National Television) held 6 heats followed by 4 semi-finals to find the 12 most talented children, aged between 10 and 15 years old, in Bulgaria. All the participants had to perform their version of a popular song.

The 12 finalists are:

From the first semi-final, held on August 29th, the jury decided to choose, the 12 year-old, Eleonora Ivanova and Pavel Mateev, who is 13 years old. The televoters decided to save the talented Ivan Stoyanov, who is also 12 years old.

During the second semi-final, on August 30th, Lora Gerdjikova (13) and Filip Filchev (14) were chosen by the jury. Furthermore, the youngest participant of the competition, Simona Ivanova (10 years old), qualified for the national final, thanks to the televoters. She performed her version of the song ‘’Je Veux’’, by the well-known French singer, Zaz.

The third semi-final took place on August 31st and once again, 3 participants advanced. Andrea Nacheva (jury), who is 13 years old, Dylian & Konstadin Dyankov (jury), two brothers of respectively 15 and 10 years old and Gabriela Yardonova (televoting), a young singer of 12 years old, qualified.

Finally on September 1st, the 3 last artists qualified for the Grand Final. The last 3 qualifiers were Radko Petkov (jury), Mariam Mavrova (jury) and Gergana Todorova (televoting).

The national final will be on tonight, and the winner will be decided by both juries (50%) and televoters (50%). The song that will represent Bulgaria at Junior Eurovision 2015 will be selected internally after the artist is chosen.

We are looking forward to discovering the young artist that will represent Bulgaria at the next Junior Eurovision, which will be held in Bulgaria (in November)!
