We have the first confirmed name for Melodifestivalen 2015 and it’s a three boys band Smajling Swedes. They participated in Svensktoppen Nästa, a radio show for young talents. They didn’t win it, but jury decided to give them a chance and a ticket to Melodifestivalen 2016! Their song “Goosebumps” helped them to do it. Congratulations and good luck in February.

A few words about the winner of the contest. It’s Michael Fannon with a song in Swedish “Kommer tid, kommer råd”. Don’t worry as he also got a very good prize – his song will be rotated on P4 Radio.

This is the fourth time when a WC for Melodifestivalen is choosen from Svensktoppen Nästa. In 2012-2014 the winners got their tickets to Melodifestivalen, but none of them qualified to either Second Chance or Final. Probably, it was the reason to change the rule.
