Aftonbladet, often highly reliable when it comes to Melodifestivalen with well-informed sources, claim they can reveal the first names for Melodifestivalen 2016 already!
The first and most remarkable name is Ace Wilder. Via social media she has been seen working with various established songwriters and after narrowly finishing second behind Sanna Nielsen in 2014, she is now reported to have found the perfect song to return to the competition with.
Another known Melodifestivalen-name rumoured to come back is Oscar Zia. Oscar became known through the Swedish X-Factor and was first seen in Melodifestivalen as a backing vocal in Behrang Miri’s Jalla Dansa Sawa, before participating himself in 2014 with Yes We Can, finishing 8th in the final. Reportedly, several songwriters have been sending Oscar their songs over the past months but Oscar has a clear vision of what kind of music he would like to compete in Melodifestivalen with, which is why he has co-written the song he’s entering with this time.
The third name Aftonbladet can reveal is that of the most recent Swedish Idol winner Lisa Ajax. Lisa has stated on several occasions that it is her dream to participate in Melodifestivalen and that dream could well become reality next year! According to a source within the Swedish music industry her participation in Melodifestivalen next year is as certain as certain can be at this stage.

The press conferences in which the artists competing in Melodifestivalen will be presented to the press are expected to be held at the end of November/beginning of December.
