“Faro de estrellas” win Jalisse’s Light Song Contest. Give it a listen!

Jalisse, the Italian duo who represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997, held a musical literary competition called “Light Song Contest”. This contest was won by Sandra Von Borries, who wrote the lyrics of “Faro de estrellas”.

“Light Song Contest” was sponsored by Unesco, and it was open for all songwriters and poets inspired by light in every context. Lyrics were being sent from various different countries, including Italy, the United Kingdom, Greece, France, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Romania, and others. A panel of judges consisting of Dr. Joe Niemela (World co-ordinator for the International Year of Light 2015), Roberto Gasparini (representative of A&R  Ricordi/EMI/RCA/BMG/SONY), and Alessandra and Fabio of Jalisse decided the winning lyrics.

Jalisse then composed and arranged the music for the winning lyrics, while the artwork cover for this project was done by Jadsada Saetinow. The song is available in various digital music stores: iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Deezer. You can buy or listen to the song by clicking on any of the links of the digital music stores.
