Kaliopi: “The new song has to be better than Crno i Belo”

Macedonian Eurovision 2016 entrant – Kaliopi – revealed that her new song is being prepared by Romeo Gril in his studio and she is patiently waiting for it. She expects something big, and a song which will highlight her whole artistic achievements. “It has to be better than the first song – I’m always working like that” – she said and compared it to the song “Bato” which was recorded back in 1987 but is still very popular and respectable among all generations.

Crno i Belo or Bato are those songs which remain in our memories forever. That’s exactly what I expect. I hope the new song will become a Eurovision evergreen.

Kaliopi’s goal in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm is to qualify to the Grand Final and to achieve at least the same result as in Baku (12th place in the final). According to our previous information, Macedonian broadcaster MKRTV will reveal Kaliopi’s 2016 Eurovision entry in February.

The Macedonian singer will probably spend the New Year’s Eve in her hometown of Ohrid. She hopes to perform on the main square and welcome the New Year 2016 with her Macedonian fans.
