According to ESCKAZ, the song Sergey Lazarev will be singing in Stockholm will be penned by Philipp Kirkorov and Dimitris Kontopoulos, both experienced songwriters when it comes to Eurovision. The most succesful entry they’ve written together being Shady Lady, sung to a 2nd place by Ani Lorak in 2008.

A panel from Russian state broadcaster VGTRK has been going through several songs recently and now it has been decided that the song by Kirkorov and Kontopoulos is best suited for Sergey. Both the song and the accompanying music video are expected to be released around new year.

In a short interview with news programme Vesti, Sergey also revealed that a big team will be involved regarding the stage act. That team will, next to Philipp Kirkorov, also have ”Philipp’s greek friends”.
