Polish Head of Delegation fired from TVP!

The Polish news portal wirtualnemedia.pl reports that Mr. Mikolaj Dobrowolski, who was the Head of Delegation of Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest in the past two years and the Assistant Head of Delegation in 2010 and 2011 has been fired from TVP.

After the President of Poland signed the new media law allowing the government the power to appoint management at public radio and television, changes started in TVP. In the latest changes in TVP, Ewa Nowicka has been appointed vice-president of TVP1, and she will be in charge of the Opole festival, as well as the Eurovision Song Contest.

During his work in TVP, Dobrowolski was responsible of the two festivals, and gave a new look and “refreshed” the festival in Opole, and while he was the Head of Delegation, Poland qualified for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in both occasions. He was also working with the music editors of the Polish Radio.

This is not the only change in the management of the Polish broadcaster – there are also changes in the programs for children, youth, and education.

It is unknown whether Ewa Nowicka is going to be the new Head of Delegation for Poland, or whether an another person is going to be appointed for this job.
