Selectia Nationala to take place in Baia Mare!

TVR has informed ESCBubble that the Romanian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, Selectia Nationala, will take place in the city of Baia Mare!

Organizing the national selection outside of Bucharest has become a tradition for TVR, as the national selection was organized in Brasov in 2014, and in Craiova in 2015. Now the Romanian national broadcaster has joined forces with the local authorities of Baia Mare, and will organize the national selection in this city on the 4th and the 6th of March. Baia Mare is a candidate city for the 2021 European Capital of Culture.

Selectia Nationala will be taking place in the Polyvalent Hall of Lascăr Pană, which has a capacity of 2,500 seats. All the interested artists and composers can send in their songs to TVR by emailing eurovision2016@tvr.ro or by post, no later than the 7th of February.

Romania will take part in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm.
