Today, exclusively on BBC Radio 2, Ken Bruce revealed the six songs and artists who are aiming to represent the United Kingdom at this year’s Eurovision.
The six acts are:
(1) Joe & Jake – You’re Not Alone
(Written by: Schwartz, Justin J Benson, S Kanes)
Joe Woolford and Jake Shakeshaft both took part in the 2015 series of The Voice UK.
(2) Bianca – Shine A Little Light
(Written by: Ash Howes, Cass Lowe, Leona Lewis, Richard Stannard)
Bianca Claxton is a former member of girlband Parade who had a top 10 single in 2013 with ‘Louder’. Her song was co-written by X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
(3) Dulcima – When You Go
(Written by: Tomas Twyman)
Dulcima are a duo of Dulcima Showan and Tom Twyman from Canterbury. The song was written by band member Tom.
(4) Matthew James – A Better Man
(Written by: Helienne Lindvall, Andrew Fromm, Peter Kvint)
Matthew James Pateman is a former member of boyband Bad Boys Inc who had a number of chart hits in the 90s.
(5) Darline – Until Tomorrow
(Written by: Roy Stride, Joshua Wilkinson, Duck Blackwell, Jack McManus)
Darline are a country pop duo consisting of Abby Inez & Cára Beard who have supported The Shires on their recent UK tour.
(6) Karl – Miracle
(Written by: Karl William Lund)
Karl William Lund is from The Wirral and is also a model as well as a singer. His song was self-penned.
