The first semi-final of Moldova’s O Melodie Pentru Europa has just finished, and the first batch of qualifiers have now been announced!

A combination of televotes from the Moldovian public, plus the votes of an expert jury were the determining factors of tonight’s finalists. Twelve songs competed, and but just eight have got through to Saturday night’s final.

The qualifying artists are as follows:

The 8th song was decided during a live TV debate and extra televote after the main show. That position went to Emilia Russu. Congratulations to all of the successful contestants!

All eight will go through to the grand final on Saturday night, and will be accompanied by another eight contestants from Moldova’s second semi-final on Thursday evening.
