These are YOUR qualifiers in the semi final of Selectia Nationala!

The semi final of Selectia Nationala, the Romanian pre-selection of the Eurovision Song Contest, is taking place tonight in Baia Mare. A total of 12 acts will compete for the six places in the Grand Final.

In the past week we ran a poll where we asked you which is your personal favourite song in the Romanian selection. In this voting, Ovidiu Anton with his song “Moment of Silence” came out as the winner with 30,30% of the total votes. He is followed by Mihai with 27,46% in second, and Vanotek feat. The Code & Georgian in third with 8,96% of the votes. Here is the full ranking:

  1. Ovidiu Anton – Moment of Silence – 30,30%
  2. MIHAI – Paradisio – 27,46%
  3. Vanotek feat. The Code & Georgian – I’m Coming Home – 8,96%
  4. Florena – Behind The Shadows – 6,87%
  5. Gasca de acasa – Tu esti povestea – 6,12%
  6. Mihai Bajinaru – Never Too Late – 5,37%
  7. Irina Popa – Lasa-ma, eu te las – 4,93%
  8. Doru Todorut feat. Irina Baiant – The Voice – 4,03%
  9. Andra Olteanu – Nai Nai – 2,69%
  10. Dream Walkers – Let It Shine – 1,49%
  11. Xandra – Superhuman – 1,04%
  12. Jukebox – Come On Everybody – 0,75%

Our editors have also listened to the 12 songs in their studio versions, and based on that we cast our votes. Our editor panel thinks that the six qualifiers in tonight’s semi finals should be:

  1. Ovidiu Anton – Moment of Silence
  2. Florena – Behind the Shadows
  3. Mihai Bajinaru – Never Too Late
  4. Andra Olteanu – Nai Nai
  5. Xandra – Superhuman
  6. Doru Todorut feat. Irina Baiant – The Voice

Our editors and our readers have a slightly different view on Selectia Nationala, as we only agree on three qualifiers – Mihai Bajinaru, Florena, and the winner of both votes is Ovidiu Anton! The semi final will take place tonight, and we shall see what these 12 artists have prepared for us, and we shall hear them perform their songs live. ESCBubble will live blog the entire event, so stay with us tonight as well!

In the meanwhile, our poll is still open, so if you didn’t cast your vote so far – feel free to do so now:
