Sanja Vucic to represent Serbia in Eurovision 2016!

Sanja Vucic, the lead singer of the band Zaa will be representing Serbia at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest!

It has been revealed today by Telegraf that Sanja Vucic has been selected by RTS to represent Serbia in Stockholm this year. Originally, the idea of RTS was to select Ivana Peters (the lead singer of the band Negative), who has already tried to get to Eurovision in 2004, 2007 and 2008. Her engagement in the local version of “Your Face Sounds Familiar” stopped her from participating as a singer, but both Ivana and RTS agreed that Sanja Vucic should take her place.

For the second time in the history, Serbia’s Eurovision song will be in English, as Sanja will be singing “Goodbye”, written by Ivana Peters. RTS will officially announce Sanja as the Serbian entrant at a special press conference on Monday, while we are going to hear “Goodbye” for the first time in “Pesma Srbije za Evropu” on Saturday (12th of March) evening.

Whilst we are awaiting to hear Sanja Vucic’s Eurovision entry, give a listen to her performing “Unconditional Love” live:
