Norwegian singer Agnete has posted this morning on social media the reason for her non-appearance at Eurovision In Concert on Saturday in Amsterdam, and why she will not be appearing at the upcoming preview shows she was due to sing at.
She wrote :
Sorry for the lack of updates from me.
These last few weeks I have been battling a virus infection that seem to enjoy spending time with me as a host, trust me, it´s not a mutual feeling. This have kept me laying in bed for some time now, unable to do any work.
This infectious disease is transmitted to several of my friends, to the people who work with me and their friends/family who is now all suffering from what I am still battling.
Although I am recovering, I am not recovering quick enough to be able to do want I really want to do.
After the cancellation in Amsterdam, we (myself, my doctor and the people I travel with) have decided that the best thing to do is take our time to fully recover. Our doctor has strongly advised us to not leave the country, this is for the concern of our health but also so we don´t infect any of the other artists/people/fans from the other countries.
Unfortunately this means that I, with a heavy heart, will have to cancel all of the upcoming events this week; Israel Calling, the TVR Eurovision Party in București and The London Eurovision Party.
I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience regarding this, and I am terribly sorry for all the people who were looking forward to meeting me at these show. I have to prioritize the health of myself so I am in shape for Stockholm. On the upside you now won´t get infected! 😉
PS. I know many of you are asking about the music video! It is still being edited. I hope that we will be happy with result very soon!
Once again, I am so sorry!
Thanks for all the support and concern!
Lots of Love, Agnete?
We would like to join fans around the world in wishing Agnete well, and hoping for a speedy recovery for her and her team!
