Giorgios Michailidis brings the dance floor to Valletta!

Cypriotic broadcaster RIK has just announced they will be sending Giorgios Michailidis to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year, with the song ”Dance Floor”!

Michailidis has won ”The Musical Kids” competition in Cyprus and has starred in Amanda The Musical there. In 2014 he travelled to Germany to take part in the European Street Dance Championships. He also takes drumming and piano lessions and holds a blue belt in judo.
Paphos in Cyprus is his hometown, where he lives with his parents, sister Maria and their two dogs Poppy and Shelby.

A five-person jury, consisting of Salomi Hadzineofytou, Lia Kasiou, Spyros Spyrou, Florentios Tsoukkas and Stefanos Charalambous, listened to the songs in the Radio 2 studios of RIK.
A total of seven songs were sent in and the song ”Dance Floor” emerged as their favourite to represent the island in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 will be held in Valletta, Malta, on November 20, 2016.
