Spain launches #Eurocasting!

Spanish broadcaster RTVE have just announced their plans for their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The selection will kick off with a process they call #Eurocasting.
From this Thursday, October 27, Spanish citizens will be able to apply through a form on RTVE.es. After filling in personal data and having written a short biography, the applicant will be able to upload their song. This application period will last a month, ending on the 27th of November.
Applicants must be citizens of Spain or have permanent residence in Spain.

After the deadline has closed, a jury will select thirty of the songs that have been sent in so that the public can vote for their favourites among them. Later on, the jury will, among the 10 most votes ones, select 3 songs the public can vote for again. The entry that receives the most votes has an automatic place in the national final that will place next February. The other candidates, who will get a ticket to the national final directly, will be selected by RTVE themselves among professionals.
