Finland announces national final participants!

Earlier today Finnish broadcaster YLE have presented the songs that will fight for a ticket to Kiev in their national selection Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, which means: contest for new music.
The 10 songs competing are:

  1. Alva: Arrows
  2. Anni Saikku: Reach Out For The Sun
  3. Club La Persé: My Little World
  4. Emma: Circle Of Life
  5. Günther & D’Sanz: Love Yourself
  6. Knucklebone Oscar & The Shangri-La Rubies: Caveman
  7. Lauri Yrjölä: Helppo elämä
  8. My First Band: Paradise
  9. Norma John: Blackbird
  10. Zühlke: Perfect Villain

All of the above songtitles are clickable and they will take you directly to YLE’s website where you can give them a listen already!
Videos for the songs will be presented on New Year’s Eve (December 31), starting from 19:00 local time (18:00 CET) in a special programme called UMK:n Esikatselu (UMK’s Preview). Present there will be Mikko Silvennoinen as a commentator, who will also be doing so during the national final on the 28th of January next year, which is to be hosted by former Finnish Eurovision participant Krista Siegfrieds!
During that final the winner will be chosen through a 50/50 mix of televoting (phone and SMS) and, new this year, international juries!
The winner will, as said, represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev, Ukraine.
