Moments ago, Danish broadcaster DR has announced that Annette Heick and Johannes Nymark will be hosting Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2017. Danks Melodi has always been the Danish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Both hosts have artistic experience from Melodi Grand Prix.
Annette is most known to fans for her entry Copenhagen Airport in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2007 and Johannes Nymark was part of Lighthouse X, who won last edition with their song Soldiers of Love.

Johannes says he is very excited to be hosting next year’s edition, but also a little nervous, which is why he’s glad he has a rock he can hold onto beside him in the shape of Annette. He is referencing to previous experience: Annette hosted last year’s Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the edition Johannes won!

Annette states she started crying when she got the question to host for the second time, that’s how happy she was!
About having Johannes beside her she says: ”He is so incredibly talented and totally cool, so I’m completely sure it’s gonna be great!”

The Danish national final be on the 25th of February at Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning.
Who will be competing in the national final will be announced by DR at a later stage.
