Czech Republic receive over 300 songs!
Earlier, Czech broadcaster ČT has called for any artists interested in representing the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 to send in songs.
The deadline passed at midnight and today Head of Delegation Jan Bors announced his joy over the interest he sees:
more than 300 songs… wow!!! that means something, what a competition! #esc2017

Now, a jury of both ČT employees and Czech music experts will go through all the songs and internally select the entry for next year’s contest.
The choice will be announced at a later stage.
Last year saw the Czech Republic’s first succesful attempt at reaching the final, Gabriela Gunčíková being the first one to take them there with I Stand:
