Selecţia Naţională returns in Romania!

Selecţia Naţională, Romania’s national final used to select the entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, will once again serve as the national final in 2017.
Romania has been using this national final every year, last year included, when Ovidiu Anton was victorious on his fifth try but could not perform at Eurovision because Romania was disqualified by the EBU due an accumulated debt over years.

Earlier this fall it was announced that TVR, and so Romania, would be back at the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, but it was not yet clear which selection method they would be using. Tonight it has been confirmed that it will be Selecţia Naţională once again.
Paula Seling and Ovi, responsible for their best scoring entry in 2010 bringing ”Playing With Fire” to a 3rd place, are inviting people to take part:

Tomorrow the song submission period will open and last until the 22nd of January. Then between the 25th and 27th of January a selection will be made in the form of auditions in front of a jury at the TVR studios, to determine which songs will be participating in the semi-final on February 26.
Which songs will qualify from the semi-final will be determined by 100% jury voting.
A week later, on Sunday the 5th of March, the final will be held, where the winner will be chosen through 100% televoting.
