The broadcaster SBS has announced that the Australian Entry for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed on Tuesday March 7th.

For the first time, the singer AND the song will be revealed at the same time during a live performance at a secret location in Melbourne.

The performance will be hosted by SBS presenter Julia Zamiro and will be broadcast live on their Facebook page from 1730 local time, which is 0730 CET.

Rumours are already flooding the internet, with X Factor winner Isaiah Firebrace, and pop duo The Veronicas being heavily tipped for the trip to Kyiv in May.

Australia will be performing in the first half of the first semi final on 9 May, and are hoping to go one better after Dami Im soared to second place in Stockholm with her song “Sound Of Silence”
