Francesco Gabbani won this year’s San Remo music festival, and has also accepted the opportunity to represent Italy at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. His “Occidentali’s Karma” is already one of the top favorites for winning in Kiev due to its freshness, fun, and of course – the featuring gorilla in the choreography.
There were some speculations in Italian media about the gorilla, and finally on Friday night, Francesco Gabbani revealed the identity of his gorilla sidekick in a TV interview in the show called “Standing Ovation”.
The man in the gorilla suit is Filippo Ranaldi, and he’s a choreographer, nowadays named “Scimmiografo” (Monkeygrapher). He has worked previously with X Factor Italia and Italian stars such as Laura Pausini.
