21:10 Miklós says that he still has problems with the lyrics. These songs are in 90% of our lives, and they effect us in some way. And if the lyrics are incorrect, this is very bad, and these songs have to have a message. He feels bad for talking about this to Benji, as he loves his voice, and he was really supporting him last year. The changes in the arrangements didn’t help, cos the lyrics still haven’t changed.

Caramel has double feelings. He congratulated him for being absolutely free tonight, and said that tonight he sang best. There are some really good things in the change in the arrangements, but it is now overfilled, and the song lots its intimacy. One can see that Benji felt good on stage, and he wondered how it would have been with the old arrangements, and this Benji’s performance…

21:05 Benji completely re-did his song, and the performance. He sits at the piano at the very start. The song is now rather light rock, rather amateurish, and in my opinion it doesn’t fit it at all! I quite enjoy the original version, but this one is a complete let-down for me. 1/10 tonight, sorry.

20:59 The current standings:

44 Gabi Tóth & Freddie Shuman feat. Begi Lotfi – Hosszú idők
43 Zävodi + Olivér Berkes – #háttérzaj
43 Leander Kills – Élet
42 Kállay Saunders Band – 17
38 Peet Project – Kill Your Monster
38 Roma Soul – Nyitva a ház
37 Ádám Szabó – Together
37 Mrs Columbo – Frozen King

The last act tonight is Benji with “Karcok”.

20:58 Károly says that the judges are also people. He thinks Gabi is one of the best singers in Hungary, and he has to give her credit for all styles she tried in the past. Her character makes him happy. She manages to bring the audience close, she is very hyperactive and crazy, and this is why this is good and works. When she told her story and the change in her style, this song is a little bit more Greek/Turkish, and visually Chinese, which means that if she goes abroad, people won’t be able to tell she comes from Hungary. He supports her, but he would like to see her closer to Hungarian traditional music.

Caramel says that whatever Gabi tries, she does it maximally. This is a whole new world from her that he is trying to get used to, but she is loveable, and one can feel how important this is to her. And the whole thing works.

20:54 As she told us in the interview after the heat, Gabi is using a hand-mic tonight. This is vocally perfect tonight, but I’m still missing something that will just explode. When I hear this song in studio, I get goosebumps, but it just doesn’t happen live… And I think those “hey” shouts are completely unnecessary. 7/10 from me tonight

20:51 Next ones are Gabi Tóth & Freddie Shuman feat. Begi Lotfi with “Hosszú idők” (Eng. Long Times)

20:50 The current standings are:

43 Zävodi + Olivér Berkes – #háttérzaj
43 Leander Kills – Élet
42 Kállay Saunders Band – 17
38 Peet Project – Kill Your Monster
38 Roma Soul – Nyitva a ház
37 Ádám Szabó – Together
37 Mrs Columbo – Frozen King

20:49 Zséda says this song had a huge influence on her tonight. We didn’t know whether Leander will set the song on fire, or the song will set Leander on fire. The lyrics are completely depressive, but they have a life (?). And it was like “god-sent”.

Károly says he feels at home with this type of music. The acoustic piano is not suitable for this kind of music, as it sets it more mellow. The guitar they use is fantastic, and a melodic guitar fits well this kind of music. The power of Leander’s voice was fantastic, and made a concert feel.

Miklós says it’s a joke that the rock and metal music can’t be heard in televisions and in radios. Good rock and metal music can always be heard everywhere. He also added that the arrangements of this song were really good.

20:45 No changes in this song or performance either, it’s about the same as it was in the first heat. Leander could not sing this song better if he tried. It’s very strong vocally and emotional once again, but I find this song rather average, and I wouldn’t choose to listen to it, even though I am a fan of rock music. Thus from me 3/10 tonight.

20:41 Next on stage are Leander Kills with the song “Élet” (Eng. Life)

20:40 Caramel is still under impression. He wants to say many things. This was simply so good – there was nothing in the backdrop at the start, and it wasn’t even needed. Their vocal section is very serious, and he asked for a big round of applause. This was simply great, he has a huge respect for Olivér. It can be seen that they worked a lot on this. It was intimate, dynamic, and it was just brilliant. The music world that Zavodi came up with in this song – he just loves it. He doesn’t like giving campaign speeches, but he wants this song in the top four.

Zséda says how well they work together. Zavodi is the youngest participant this year, and he wrote this song. The visuals were great, the piano being set on fire looked beautiful, it was very very good. She also said that this song really stands out in this competition.

20:36 Oliver has a hat on today. No changes in this song, nor in the performance here either. There’s not much happening on stage apart from the piano being set on fire, but Olivér’s voice just fills the whole studio. This is very simple, yet very powerful. And also, Olivér nails the falsetto tonight. 9/10 from me tonight!

20:32 We are back, and we now continue with Zävodi + Olivér Berkes and their song “#háttérzaj”

20:25 The current standings:

42 Kállay Saunders Band – 17
38 Peet Project – Kill Your Monster
38 Roma Soul – Nyitva a ház
37 Ádám Szabó – Together
37 Mrs Columbo – Frozen King

This means that Ádám and Mrs Columbo are already having to go to the televoting round. A short commercial break now.

20:23 Károly says that he loves how smoothly and professionally he did “that Michael Jackson move”. He loved the song, he loves how easily he moves on stage, and how easily he does everything. There was a good harmony when he started the song. If he listens back to all of his songs, there might be more catharsis in some of them, and in the start of the chorus he would just want it to be slightly more powerful. He still loved it.

Caramel says that they always bring the concert mood. This was the first performance tonight where they felt that they were really at a concert. A new rhythm in this song with stronger drums works well, but he felt that in the second part, he wanted to get the old style back as well a bit. But it still works, and they work together well. András is a fantastic lead singer, he sings perfectly and it feels good to watch him and listen to him.

20:20 András and his band changed the arrangements for “17” for tonight, and the version they are bringing is a lot more upbeat, and the song became even more powerful if you ask me. Vocally this is also very strong, and this for me is the best one so far tonight. 10/10 from me.

20:15 The current standings are:

38 Peet Project – Kill Your Monster
38 Roma Soul – Nyitva a ház
37 Ádám Szabó – Together
37 Mrs Columbo – Frozen King

We continue with the winners of our poll – Kállay Saunders Band with the song “17”.

20:13 Caramel noticed that they did no changes, and everything that had to stay in this song still is there. The lead singer’s vocals are very good, and even though they are really good, but when the violin starts, it sounds amazing. And they are just not using it enough.

Zséda says she is happy to see them again, and there’s no monster she can tell them to kill. Everything was good.

Miklós agrees with the other jurors, and says that this is a very professional band. He feels that the only problem with this performance is that it is missing a character. They are very professional, but they are not recognizable. Once they have their own “character”, everyone will know the song and who they are. The performance was really good though.

20:08 No changes for Peet Project neither in the song, nor in their performance. This is still a lot of fun to listen to, and I especially like the sax in this song. I don’t find it particularly good, but just fun, and to be honest – it does go on for a while… 6/10 from me

20:03 The current standings are:

38 Roma Soul – Nyitva a ház
37 Ádám Szabó – Together
37 Mrs Columbo – Frozen King

We will continue with Peet Project and their song “Kill Your Monster”.

20:02 Károly says that whenever he hears music like this, happiness is all over. He’s a big fan of Gergő, but feels that this song sounds as if they planned to do three different songs. The start is Spanish-swing, then roma part, then dancing part… This is a good plan for three songs, and feels that less would have been more now.

Miklós says that if the lyrics of this song would be a bit better, but nevertheless it was very exciting.

Zséda added that this song is a huge hug for her. And she feels that the house they are singing about is a house where it’s always nice to come back. She loves the variety of styles of this song, but it was a little bit too much. And she loved the changes they did in this song.

19:57 And once again a very colourful backdrop for Roma Soul. They re-did the arrangements of their song a little bit, there’s a lot more guitar and beatbox in it now. Even though this is very strong vocally, it just still doesn’t work for me, and thus 1/10…

19:54 Next up are Roma Soul with “Nyitva a ház” (Eng. The House Is Open)

19:53 Zséda says this was very well done, and she enjoyed that they added more movements, and changed the backdrop a bit. The story of the song really came out, and this was helped by the Eastern melody.

Caramel agrees with Zséda, and says that the song fits Dorina perfectly, as she is like from a fairytale. He didn’t enjoy the fact that the backing vocalists were a lot stronger than before, but Dorina sang so well. This is a proper radio song, which works, and he is happily listening to it.

19:50 Different hairstyle tonight for Dorina, the lead singer of Mrs Columbo, and also a modified dress… She listened to Károly’s comment from last week, as she is moving a lot more on stage than in the heats. I personally still have a problem with parts of the arrangement of this song to be perfectly honest, and thus 5/10 from me.

19:47 Mrs Columbo are up next with “Frozen King”.

19:46 Miklós says that the lyrics of this song are just so important and very valid. He loves the symbolism on stage, and the dancer in black and white. The story of this song is very actual. Somehow he feels that the song gets going, but it doesn’t go into the best direction.

Károly says he likes this song very much, and he loves Ádám’s voice. A musician can perform well if he’s in his comfort zone, and if this comfort zone is on stage. He feels that Ádám’s still a bit too nervous, and thinks that when he performs with his accordion, that is when he feels “home” on stage.

The points for Ádám:

19:42 No changes in Ádám’s performance to the one in the heats. I’m struggling to hear the backing vocalists, and Ádám is not having his best night vocally… This could have been a lot better than it was… 7/10 from me tonight

19:39 Ádám Szabó is the first act tonight, and he is competing with his song called “Together”.

19:38 The jury members said that they are taking everything into consideration today, including of the backdrops, the show, and not only the song itself.
