The Moldovan national selection O Melodie Pentru Europa has finished moments ago, where Moldova’s entry for Eurovision 2017 was selected – SunStroke Project with their song “Hey, Mamma!”.
In a 10 song final of O Melodie Pentru Europa, two songs tied in the top spot – the jury favorite Ethno Republic & Surorile Osoianu with their song “Discover Moldova”, and the televoting favorite – SunStroke Project with their song “Hey, Mamma!”. The rules of the competition stated that in case of a tie, the song which scored more points in televoting would be declared the winner. Thus, SunStroke Project won, and will be heading to represent Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest once again.
