Interview with Ulrikke (Melodi Grand Prix 2017 contestant)
Each year at Eurovision, we get to see around 40+ songs which make the big stage. They’re either picked internally by a team of professionals, or via a national selection television show in which the public usually decide the winner.
This means that hundreds of songs each year fail to make it to millions of viewers of the Eurovision stage – even though they can be fantastic songs!
Here at ESCBubble – besides bringing you the latest Eurovision news – we like to also bring you new music and interviews with artists that just missed out on their ticket to our favourite annual contest.
Today is the turn of Ulrikke!
Ulrikke was one of the ten acts that made it to Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix, and just narrowly missed out on winning this year’s selection show. She got through the the final four acts in the superfinal, but the winning prize was eventually awarded to Norwegian DJ and producer, JOWST.
We’ve just spoken to Ulrikke a couple of weeks after Meodi Grand Prix, to discuss her experience during the contest, and to find out about her future music. You can watch our interview with her in the video below!
You can also watch the music video for “Places” (which we talk about in the interview) here:
If you’d like to find out more information about upcoming Ulrikke’s music, you can check out her official website, her Facebook page, her Instagram, and her YouTube channel.
Thanks for speaking to us, Ulrikke!
