“We didn’t know that it was somebody from Iceland that started to sing it!” – Joci Pápai (Hungary)

Following on from last night’s first Semi Final on the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, and some of the surprising qualifiers that it brought, we’re back to bringing you more interviews with the stars of the contest.

This morning, ahead of the 2nd Jury Semi Final tonight, we bring you our interview with Hungary‘s artist for 2017 – Joci Pápai!

Melissa spoke to Joci after his second rehearsal in the International Exhibition Centre in Kiev. In the interview, he told us about the reason behind the change of outfit between the first and second rehearsals, and the importance of singing in his native language. Joci also told us about just how surprised he was when Selma from Iceland sung his song at the Amsterdam In Concert event last month!
