Eurovision 2018 dates to be revealed after June 13

The General Executive Director of Portuguese broadcaster RTP, Gonçalo Reis, has given little clues surrounding next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal.

There will be a meeting with officials from the EBU taking place on the 13th of June and in that meeting the initials details for next year’s contest will be discussed and sooner than that, dates for next year won’t be confirmed.

Reis also disclosed that the keywords RTP will be using when defining the identity of Eurovision 2018 will be: Quality, elegance and simplicity.

There is also good news on the financial front. Apparently RTP are in no rush to give an overview of expected costs of organising next year’s festival as many companies have already stated they would like to sponsor the whole event!

More plans to follow after June 13 at least!
