After Macedonia, today also Georgia announced their representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 and it’s: Grigol Kipshidze!
Back in July, Georgian broadcaster GPB announced an open call and after the deadline, a select few were invited to perform in front of a professional jury consisting of five people. These were:
- Eliso Shengelia (music editor)
- Maia Baratashvili (singer)
- Giorgi Asanishvili (sound director)
- Davit Evgenidze (Musician)
- Zaza Shengelia (producer)
Grigol’s song will be revealed at a later stage but in the meantime, enjoy his vocal talent by seeing him perform Sam Smith’s Stay With Me:
This is the first time, after their third victory, that Georgia are hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and this means Grigol will be singing for his country on home soil! The contest will be held on Sunday the 26th of November in the country’s capital Tbilisi.
