A record amount of entries for Switzerland!
The submission deadline in Switzerland has closed and broadcaster SRF is very happy to announce that they have received a record number of entries this year: 670 songs!
The broadcaster took to Twitter to announce the good news and thank all of those who sent in a song:

(Translation: New contest record! Thanks 670 times!!!)
What will happen now is that an independant jury of 20 people will listen to all the submissions and choose, probably, six entries to go through to the national final on Sunday, February 4th. It has however been sad that more songs can be put through if the quality is high and that, since entries aren’t necessarily tied to the artists singing them, the song can be given to a singer SRF finds more suitable for the song.
When the decision will be taken and we will hear about it, is not known yet.
