Mariana Venâncio will sing ‘YouTuber’ for Portugal at Junior Eurovision 2017!

The Portuguese national final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 has just ended. Last week it was revealed that one of the 5 children in contention would be singing the song ‘YouTuber’, a song composed by João Cabrita and Mariana Andrade.

Mariana has won the competition over 5 others tonight: Duarte Valença, Mariana Leite, Filipa Ferreira and Margarida Lima. Televoters could have their say through televoting that lasted almost a week, which accounted for 50%, and the other 50% was decided by a jury that all had ties to the Eurovision Song Contest in one way or another:

  • Carlos Mendes (Portugal 1968 and 1972)
  • Inês Santos (Portugal 1998)
  • Pedro Gonçalves (Festival da Canção 2017)
