Three acts to compete to represent Greece in Eurovision 2018!

After a couple of years of choosing their artists via internal selections, the Greek broadcaster ERT has decided to organize a national final in order to choose their representative for Eurovision in Lisbon. ERT invited local recording companies to submit entries, that had to be in Greek and with Greek ethno-influence.

After receiving 20 song, a committee within ERT narrowed it down to five entries that will compete in the national selection Ellinikós Telikós 2018 in late February. Although five entries were originally chosen for the show, it was announced that two of them has been disqualified as they failed to meet the requirements and rules to the national final. These two were Duo Fina with “Idio Tempo” and Tony Vlachos with “Baila Jazz”.

The three acts which are going to compete to become Greece’s next Eurovision entry are:

  • Areti Ketime – Don´t Forget the Sun
  • Chorostalites – Apologetics’s tin Thraki os tin Kriti
  • Gianna Terzi – To Oniro Mou

The exact date and all other details about Ellinikós Telikós are yet to be announced.

Demy was internally selected for last year’s Eurovision, and her song “This Is Love”, chosen in a special show out of three songs, has made its way to the Eurovision Final in Kiev, and finished in 19th place.
