TVR, the Romanian national broadcaster has just opened the call for songs for Selectia Nationala, and released more information about the way their national selection is going to work.
We have already informed you that TVR plans to hold five semi finals and a Grand Final for the 2018 edition of their Eurovision selection – Selectia Nationala. Now they have revealed that a total of 60 songs are going to take part in this national selection – 12 songs per semi final.
Starting from today, all interested artists and composers are welcome to send their songs in to TVR for Selectia Nationala 2018, all until the 15th of December. The songs can be sent via mail or can be submitted directly to TVR’s office (Dorobanţilor Street no. 191, sector 1, Bucharest), on a CD, by mentioning on the envelope „For the National Selection of Eurovision 2018”, or they can be sent via e-mail at eurovision.romania@tvr.ro.
After the submission period, a preselection jury will listen through all of the submitted songs, and they will announce the names of the 60 qualifiers on the 22nd of December.
The Semi finals and the Final of Selectia Nationala will take place at the beginning of next year, during January and February 2018 in 6 different cities in Romania. The exact dates and venues, as well as the way the qualifiers, as well as the winner will be chosen, are yet to be announced.
