This morning AVROTROS, the Dutch broadcaster, have confirmed that they have internally selected Waylon  as their artist to perform at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon in May 2018.

Eurovision fans will know Waylon from his association with Ilse de Lange as the Common Linnets in 2014 when the contest was held in Denmark.  The Common Linnets finished in 2nd place, earning The Netherlands their best result for  many years.  The song that Waylon  will perform in Lisbon is yet to be announced.

AVROTROS posted a teaser video on YouTube this morning, and later confirmed their selection, watch the teaser below, would you have guessed the artist from the clues given?

In Kyiv, The Netherlands finished 11th place in the Grand Final with O’G3NE and their song “Lights and Shadows”
