Austria to announce it’s Eurovision act today
Austrian broadcaster ORF is to announce it’s Eurovision act today!
Eberhard Forcher, the Austrian Radio DJ at the ORF hit radio station Ö3 announced the news on his Facebook page. According to Forcher, the Austrian act will be revealed on the Ö3-Wecker (Alarm Clock) programme this morning. The show is broadcast from 5am-9am (CET), which you can view by clicking here.
Last year, Forcher was responsible for approaching Nathan Trent to represent Austria. After discussions at the the Eurovision team at the Austrian broadcaster ÖRF, Nathan was chosen internally to represent his country in Ukraine.
The Austrian artist will be the fifth artist revealed for next year’s Eurovision 2018. Other artists announced include:
-Waylon (Netherlands)
-Saara Aalto (Finland)
-Aisel (Azerbaijan) and
-Laura Groeseneken (Belgium).
In 2017, Nathan Trent and his song ‘Running on Air’ finished 16th in the final of the Eurovision, the 3rd time in a row the country has qualified after the legendary win of Conchita in 2014
