Germany announces it’s first candidate for next years National Final

One of the first candidates who could represent Germany in next years’ Eurovision has been confirmed as the singer Ryk.

Ryk has confirmed that he is to be in the German National final next year. The singer who previously tried to represent San Marino in next years National final ‘1 in 360’ posted the following video on Youtube for his song ‘You and I’

Aswell as Ryk, the website Prinz has confirmed a raft of other artists who are currently attending NDR Eurovision workshops. Any of these artists could be representing Germany next year and include:

the first ever winner of The Voice of Germany Ivy Quainoo,

aswell as other form The Voice of Germany contestants, such as

Danyal Demir,

Lara Trautmann a.k.a Lara Loft,

and Vinh Khuat.

 

Other potential candidates include:

VoXXclub,

Xavier Darcy, a British-French singer-songwriter living in Munich,

Boris Alexander Stein, also a former The Voice of Germany-participant

the musical trio LauraAubreyWanja consisting of the singers Laura KästelAubrey Bacani and Wanja Janeva,

ZweiLandJay Oh (winner of Das Supertalent 2015, “The Supertalent 2015”)

and Diana Schneider (Big BrotherKöln 50667), singing in both German and English.

 

Despite winning in 2010 with the song ‘Satelite’ Germany has struggled in the last few years, coming last in 2015 and 2016, and then second from last this year. Could 2018 prove a turning point for Germany? Let us know your thoughts
