MTVA held a special press conference on Wednesday, where the 30 entrants of A Dal 2018 were presented, along with the jury members and the hosts. Now only a few days later, one of the participants had to withdraw from the competition – the band called The Matter.
The lead singer of The Matter is Izsák Palmer, who was also the lead singer of the band Mushu, who took part in A Dal in 2016 and was in the Final with their song “Uncle Tom”. Due to family issues, he has to spend the following months in Vienna, and thus won’t be able to adjust to the schedule of A Dal 2018.
In such occasion that an entrant withdraws, or an entrant is being disqualified, the entry which was 31st on the preselection list then makes it to the show. In this year, that is the band Patikadomb, with the song titled “Jó szelet!”.
