Hosts revealed – and it’s another first!

Today we have received the exciting news that the hosts of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon have been revealed and it’s FOUR women!

Following Kyiv’s successful single-gender trio, the host broadcaster for 2018, RTP have decided to go one better…

So, who are they?

Filomena Cautela is a 33 year old actress turned presenter, who hosts the late prime talk show on RTP. Fans may remember her as presenter of the Green Room of Festival da Canção in 2017 and also as the jury spokesperson in Kyiv in May.

Sílvia Alberto is 36 years old and is a seasoned presenter of shows such as Masterchef and Portugal’s Got Talen.  She has been presenting Festival da Canção since 2009 and has previously provided Portuguese viewers with commentary on the Eurovision Song Contest itself.

Daniela Ruah is 34 years old and was born in the USA, moving to Portugal when she was 5.  She is best known as Special Agent Kensi Blye on CBS’s hit show NCIS:Los Angeles but has presenting experience also.

Catarina Furtado  is 45 years old and is an established TV presenter and actress and has been working as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador since 2000. She is seen as an inspiration for her work having founded  NGO Corações Com Coroa (Hearts With Crown) to creat awareness about women’s rights and female empowerment.
